Abstract
This study was performed as one of serial studies on the correlations between sleep patterns and the trait anxiety. The purpose of this study was to investigate the sleep patterns of subjects in week day, weekend, and sex between the group of
higher
trait anxiety score and the group of lower trait anxiety score.
The 570 students of the national university in Junbuk were surveyed by the sleep questionnaire and the trait anxiety inventory. This study was performed in 92 subjects of 570 respondents including 23 males and 23 females of higher trait anxiety
score
group and lower trait anxiety score group, repectively.
@ES The results were as follows;
@EN 1) On week days, the group of higher trait anxiety score had lower sleep depth, and more alteration of the bed time than the group of lower trait anxiety score. On week days and on Saturday, the group of higher trait anxiety score had later
time of
awakening and longer total sleep time of a napland night sleep time than the group of lower trait anxiety score. On Saturday, the group of higher trait anxiety score had longer night sleep time than the group of lower trait anxiety score. On
Sunday, the
group of higher trait anxiety than the group of lower trait anxiety score. On Sunday, the group of higher trait anxiety score had more frequency of a nap, time of a nap and frequency of a doze than the group of lower trait anxiety score. Onl week
day
and weekend, the group of higher trait anxiety score had more prolonged sleep latency than the group of lower trait anxiety score. The group had more prolonged sleep latency than the group of lower trait anxiety score. The group of higher anxiety
score
had more unsatisfactory sleep, lower total score of sleep depth, lower sleep length and refreshing feeling, more alteration of the time of awakening, lower total core of the bed time, the time of awakening, and sleep length than the group of
lower
trait
anxiety score.
2) According to the differences of sex, females had longer night sleep time and males had more a nap. Males of higher trait anxiety score had more unsatisfactory sleep length, more unsatisfactory refreshing feeling, and more frequency of a doze
than
females of higher trait anxiety score.
